Review of Kitchen Stories (2003) by Stephen M — 30 Dec 2007
I'm going to watch this one again, and soon. There's a certain charm that this film spreads throughout each frame, that's delicious as it is heartbreaking and hopeful. A simple story with simple delivery that winds up feeling complex on an emotional level.
Reminds me of some of Jacque Tati's works in the sense that the simplest presentation garners the most enjoyment. This undoubtedly applies here.
