Well I guess the Japanese wanted their own Pulp Fiction and they got it. How about having John Travolta being hung up on hooks and having hot oil poured over him... The film looks at the peole behind the yakuza and tries to humanise them.
Not very well ! The violence itself is distrurbing but who am I to judge Japanese culture. No wonder they dont have trouble killing a few whales. Not sure who I would recommend this movie to.
