Jean Marc Vallee is fast becoming one of my go-to directors (Dallas Buyers Club, Wild, now this). This film reminds you that you are not required to react to death and loss they way that you are expected to.
Gyllenhaal is just fantastic as usual. broken, hollow, flawed, lost. with each performance I keep wondering when oh when will this man win an Oscar.
