Review of Boys Don't Cry (1999) by Ian V — 23 Jun 2010
Hillary Swank won an academy award for best actress in this film. Yes, her performance was very strong and powerful that portrays the real story of this one girl who claims to be a man. The other characters are perfect as well.
I think that this film not just tells us about Teena's life and times but also how sexual crime is very widely happened mostly in US. From the start to its gripping ending, I felt swank's performance shocked the hell out of me, even those sex scenes with Sevigny are also intense.
