Review of Boys Don't Cry (1999) by Cooper G. C — 16 Oct 2009
First, I'm thankful for Peirce's courage to tell Brandon Teena's story, a story that must be told. The film's literary quaility is excellent, but I'm most blown away by the realism of the scenes.
And almost immediately, I forgot that Hillary Swank was even in the film. I love movies that make you think and feel, and this one haunts you for days after you've seen it.
