Review of American Zombie (2007) by Sean C — 21 Nov 2008

This movie definately gets points for originality, but apart from that there's little worthy of praise. Admittedly, I'm not into the whole mockumentary thing. I liked Best in Show and Faces of Death but they were simply of a different calibur.

The effort put into this film shows promis. I'll continue coming back to these guys with expectations of improvement. Simply put, the entire zombie mockumentary package is weakly presented. Maybe I'm a purist and it's odd to see "zombies" with all their motor functions.

Yet, how else do I expect the filmmakers to convey what they want if the undead do not speak? I'm stumped, but I do know that it's worth a look if you feel your fellow revenant is being oppressed.
