Review of All About Lily Chou-Chou (2001) by Mustafaa A — 18 Oct 2007
One of the most viscerally effecting films I've seen in my life, a Japanese movie exploring the chain reaction of bully vengeance and social repression pressures, how people are bound together by their passions, and how sometimes such connection is still not enough to prevent hate.
Beautifully, lushly shot, with an ethereal and haunting soundtrack that'll have you bobbing your head on rainy days. Go rent! Now!
