Review of Viridiana (1962) by Quecuatzl K — 05 Jun 2007
Bunuel had to go into exile because of this movie as it's a scathing commentary on religion (although he claimed it wasn't) and the nature of altruism. One of those films that can be interpreted in different ways and viewpoints (much like his other films).
A nun opens the house for those in need, only for them to trash it. Was she wrong to trust them? Or did they simply do her a favour?
