There are only a handful of movies that I regard and bestow upon them the title of 'The Empire Strikes Back of Movies'. This award can only go to a sequel or second installment of a movie trilogy, quadtrilogy, or collection. Toy Story 2 currently holds second place on my list next to the actual Empire Strikes Back, in terms of greatest movie sequels ever.

Not only is the animation stepped up in the movie, but also characters, story, plot, the villains, the action, the stakes are higher, it is just a brilliant film for all ages and can be watched again and again. This film holds a special place in my heart, not just as a favorite childhood film, but as an amazing film that I can enjoy even today. I adored the first Toy Story, the second Toy Story just steps it up.
