The Lifeguard was quite an okay movie, even though there were things that it forgot to tell you that you'd want to know for everything to be easier for you.
This movie should for example have more lines of thoughts for it all to be more understandable. In the summary it says that she enters into an illicit affair, but the affair doesn't really seem that illicit when watching it.
To make the people watching it more thrilled and excited by it they should make it feel more illegal so we have something to root for. The movie could feel a bit too cheesy at times when you didn't feel the hook to it.
But other than that it was pretty entertaining, it was easy to sit through it and it never bored you when watching it.
