Review of Sweet Land (2005) by Kyle K — 27 Oct 2007
Maybe the most beautiful love story ever told.
Totally spot-on performances, beautiful cinematography, and a compelling story that pulls all the right punches at the right time make for one hell of a film that seems to say: screw your immigration laws and your xenophobia: the world falls before love and must make way for it.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever: its loveliness increases; it will never pass into nothingness; but still will keep a bower quiet for us, and a sleep full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.
