Review of Romper Stomper (1992) by James F — 08 Mar 2010
This movie will grab you by the scruff of the neck and drags you on its journey through the lives of its nefarious characters.
The film that introduced Russell Crowe to the big screen his performance bristles as Hando, angry leader of a gang of neo-nazi's in Melbourne, Australia. Frustrated as what they see as their country being given away to a new wave of immigration its often uncomfortable and unflinching to watch.
Crowe excels in some of his best work and a performance that made Hollywood take notice of him. Powerhouse of a movie, the Australian American History X, it deserves to be watched.
