Review of Kung Fury (2015) by Glenn B — 19 Jan 2016
Imagine you being a child in the 80's and you grew up watching all the shows back then. Imagine you grew up and held on to that, but found yourself in a time where shows and movies lost that simplicity, that awesomeness.
Now let's say you wanted to fix all that and bring back that childhood. Well, this is it. David Sandberg wrote a love letter to the 80's in all its glory. It's cheesy, sometimes silly, but brilliant and the martial arts are surprisingly well choreographed for a AAA film let alone such a low budget film as this.
The special effects are decent too, considering. The only complaint I have of this is that it was too short due to lack of funding on Kickstarter. I recommend seeing this and supporting the next Kung Fury which will be full length.
