Review of How to Rob a Bank (2007) by Lee M — 09 May 2009

I loved this movie. Somewhat of a black comedy but more a commentary on banks, and power, and greed and desperation. Not heavy handed at all. Funny, smart and extremely well written. This movie was a surprise and I really didn't want to see it when we rented it last year.

I am reviewing it now because I really think anyone who likes good story-telling, dark humor and tight writing needs to see this movie. it was a sleeper and it really didnt get the promotion it deserved.

Pleasant surprise: Gavin Rossdal as one of the villains. He plays a great thug. For once its a movie that will surprise you beginning to end.
