Review of Birdshot (2017) by Marco Antonio L — 30 Mar 2018
Proud to say a PH movie is in netflix. And as usual Red's cinematography is magnificent. However it has the same stigma just like the rest of PH cinema, it falls short of delivering a good story. The opening scenes may intice you but soon enough it becomes a drag.
And the huge flaw in the film is the unrealictic actions of the police for a killed PH eagle. In reality it's just a 100k fine. Now the film showcases the police gping all through the trouble of torturing the suspect, all for a bird.
C'mon now. Really?
