Review of The Odd Couple (1968) by Alex K — 11 Oct 2007
I'd go beyond the 5 stars easily, but to hell with ratings anyway. I saw this today for the first time and was utterly captivated from the start through to the end. Mostly because of the seamless manner in which the story is told and the characters develop, which are genuinely moving and buzz off each other in a way few 'buddy' films manage.
The dialogue is so natural but full at the same time. Very funny too, I might add. So, great flow, sharp writing, spot on performances and a heartfelt story make this a must methinks.
