Review of The FP (2011) by Ian R — 20 Jun 2012
To try and boil this bat-shit crazy melange of 80's teen dramas and inspirational sports films into an easily regurgitated blurb is an exercise in futility. The FP is one of those films that stands on its own as an example of gonzo, my-way-or-the-highway filmmaking, made purely for love of the craft and the desire to do something no one else is.
This movie is so ribald and hysterical that the only thing there is to tell people about it is to just see it for themselves. The FP isn't just one of the most entertaining movies I've seen years, but also one of my favorite (not best) movies of this year.
