Review of The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967) by Vilan A — 01 Oct 2007
A perfect movie. It totally captures the archetypal spirit and style it sets out to portray (and beats any Harry Potter movie at that). It is funny, entertaining and even exciting at the same time. The actors are adequately over the top and even Polanski himself seems to belong in this wonderful cliche of a gloomy scenario.
Even the music is hilariously well suited and great in and of it self (can you spell Gothic?). A bonus is the naked Sharon Tate. This is the best vampire movie - period.
