Madeline Kahn manages to upstage the unparalleled charm of a wise-ass, cigarette smoking, 9 year-old Tatum O'Neal. Both turn in great performances (as does the devestatingly handsome, pre-Farrah Ryan O'Neal), but Kahn's scene on the hill is pure cinematic bliss.
