Review of Mystic River (2003) by Dallas F — 09 Feb 2011
Hands down Eastwood's best movie yet. "Mystic River" is an emotional triumph with a strong cast and an infinite story. Although it takes about an hour to get going, the film doesn't disappoint.
The storyline itself is a wondrous, well-written, and compelling piece of art, but it doesn't end there. Lead actor Sean Penn captivates us with a very powerful performance, and undoubtedly proves to be well-worthy of his Oscar win for Best Actor of 2003.
Eastwood's dramatic masterpiece is definitely one for the history books.
