Review of Lilting (2014) by Stephen B — 03 Aug 2014
Cambodian born writer/director Hong Khaou's first full-length feature had a shoestring budget and was shot in just 17 days, using mostly interiors, but it is truly one to cherish. A tender and truthful script combines with performances which, although understated, carry phenomenal power to achieve a level of emotional intensity rarely, if ever seen in a British film.
Breathtakingly beautiful.
