Review of Good Night, and Good Luck. (2005) by Catherine Y — 11 Nov 2008
Took two or three watches for this movie to fully grow on me, but once it did, it grew into one of the most badass movies I had ever seen. The opening speech in particular by Murrow hits pretty hard in this day and age.
Television, movies, and other forms of media are not meant to amuse and distract us, but to stimulate and enlighten us. And much of the media programming made these days-- be it indie, mainstream, or whatever-- still fails to do that in so many ways.
