Review of Detropia (2012) by Jomar G — 31 Jan 2012
Great documentary on Detroit that shows a lot of sensitivity, love, pride, disappointment, hope, & hopelessness at the same time. The characters in the movie were great--a bar owner, a blogger/student, an artist couple who transplanted, a union leader, an opera singer, a few guys who scavenge abandoned sites for scrap metal, and the mayor.
Some characters have more screen time than others. The 1/2 of the directors who was present in the Q&A was a chatty one.
