Review of Call Me by Your Name (2017) by Todd P — 11 Feb 2018
Best movie of 2017. Timothee Chalamet is pure magic to watch because you never see him "acting." You simply watch a 17 year old in 1983 discovering sex, sexuality, and ultimately love and heartbreak.
His unabashed approach to revealing the character Elio to the audience and his discovery of that character is something truly to behold in modern cinema. Outside the gay love story, outside the age difference, this movie is simply about two people who fall in love in an otherwise impossible time for that love.
It's not to be missed. Sit back and enjoy the "mystery of love.".
