Review of Boys in the Trees (2016) by Andrew%20 Q — 02 Oct 2017
Dull and pretentious, thie film is nowhere near as cool nor as deep as it. The metaphors are cluckly and mishandled mainly as a result of a lack of direction and identity. The dialogue is meandering and over-delivered all resulting in lack of interest.
As with many an indie film this feels much more of an egotistical piece from writer/director Nicholas Verso.
