Review of Black Rain (1989) by Kingsley Z — 05 May 2009
Underrated 80's cop movie set in Japan done by Ridley Scott. With lines like "I usually get kissed before I get fucked," and some stupid song that keeps saying "I know how to live I keep holding on," you would think it would be a crappy to semi-decent buddy cop movie. Wrong. You forgot that Ken Takakura is in this, there is motorcycle racing, and the movie straight up rules. I watch this movie every time it comes on AMC even though I own it on DVD.
Also that "Kissed before I get fucked" line is awesome.
