Review of Amadeus (1984) by Julio S — 27 Jul 2010
Perhaps one of the greatest original movies in the history of all cinema. The costumes and era are so perfect you almost forget you're watching a movie.
The performances are gripping. While powerfully dramatic, its somewhat comedic. The story is woven together like a perfectly written piece of music, leaving the viewer seeking that sense of satisfaction, that you aren't quite sure you're getting until the film finishes.
Frank Abraham and Tom Hulce are a perfect pair in this epic movie about music, success, failure, jealousy, and selfish schemes.
If you don't like music, watch this movie. If you don't know who Mozart is, watch this movie.
If you've seen this movie, watch it again.
