Review of 2010 (1984) by Nash A — 16 Jun 2012
I loved 2001: A Space Odyssey, and it remains one of my favorite movies of all time. So when I heard there was a sequal that was not directed by Stanley Kubrick, I become skeptical and put off watching this movie.
When I finally watch it, my mind was blown. The special effects in this movie are phenominal, the acting is great, the script is great, and the story is very interesting. It stays true to 2001 and does not try to rip off Kubrick's way of making movies.
The few times 2010 uses the format that 2001 used (such as an entire scene whent the only sound is a man breathing) it works extremely well, and plus they throw in there own twist. If you are willing to give it a chance and you love 2001 and Sci-fi movies, 2010: The Year We Make Contact is a great flick.
